Terry Jerome Geldaker, age 75, of Ramsey, MN, passed away at his home on January 3, 2022. A funeral service was held on Friday Jan 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at Zion Lutheran Church, in Anoka, MN. Interment will take place at Mound Cemetery in Ortonville, MN, on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Tonn officiating.
Terry Jerome Geldaker of Ramsey, MN, was born on August 20, 1946, to Kenneth and Annabelle Geldaker. In September 1969, Terry married the love of his life, Diane Hagevik, of Ortonville, MN. They lived in Ramsey, MN, but visited Diane’s family often in the Ortonville area. They had two children, Eric and Stacy.
Terry was a big hobbyist. One of his favorite things to do was go hunting in the Ortonville area with his metal detector finding coins and other fun metal items. He enjoyed chopping wood with Diane’s uncle every year. He designed and built bluebird houses and placed them in rural cemeteries in northern Minnesota which became very popular places for the bluebirds. He was also a fan of rocketry and joined the rocket club in Ramsey. He built many model rockets and found places to launch them in and around the Ortonville area.
Terry was a strong man with a strong will and uplifting personality. Despite being ill much of his life, enduring two kidney transplants, he rarely complained.
Terry is survived by his wife of 53 years, Diane Hagevik Geldaker; children: Eric Geldaker and Stacy (Tony) Durkin; grandchildren: Mallory, Summer, Easton, Piper; along with many other loving family and friends.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Bramblett.
