Cheryl Lillian (David) Hausauer was born on December 29, 1948, in Breckenridge, MN, to Jerry and Lillian (Horak) David. She was the eldest of six children, growing up on a farm near Wyndmere, ND. Her upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
On June 29, 1974, Cheryl was united in marriage with Gene Hausauer, with whom she shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they raised their four sons while living in Apple Valley, MN. Cheryl's dedication to her family was matched by her commitment to her career as an insurance broker in the finance industry, where she was respected and admired for her professionalism and integrity.
In her retirement years, Cheryl settled in the scenic community of Ortonville, MN. There, she embraced her passions, which included the art of cooking and baking, and she was known for her hospitality, often entertaining friends and family with the flair of Martha Stewart. Her love for playing cards provided countless hours of joy and laughter, connecting her with friends and family in delightful fellowship.
Left to cherish Cheryl’s memory are her husband of 52 years, Gene; sons: Todd (Kari) Hausauer, Robert (Stacey) Hausauer, and David (Jen) Hausauer; 10 grandchildren: Brayden, Allison, Derek, Evan, Joey, Brooke, Jackson, Ashton, Bentley, and Elijah; brothers: Craig David, and Bob David; sisters: Joyce David, Teresa Altenbernd, and June Peterson; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
