Mary Maher, age 69, of Browns Valley, MN, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, MN.

Mary Lanette (Hartman) Maher was born on September 6, 1956, in Denver, CO. Growing up in a military family, Mary experienced a childhood that took her across the country. She fondly recalled her time in San Diego, CA, before her parents separated, after which she settled primarily in Oregon.

At the age of 16, Mary bravely left home and began a journey that led to her discovering a sense of belonging amidst the mountains that she loved. While living on the west coast, she devoted herself to caring for her mother until her passing in 1998. Mary's path led her to return to school later in life, where her passion for creativity flourished through her studies in computer graphics.

Mary moved to Minnesota, where she found community and support among kind-hearted friends who enriched her life. She often reflected on how grateful she was for the good moments she had throughout her life.

She leaves behind cherished friends who will carry her spirit forward, as they remember her vibrant life.
