Todd D. Zeigler, age 54, of Aurora, SD, passed away on April 1, 2020, at Brookings Health System in Brookings, SD.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank.  Pastor Steve Norby will officiate, and burial with military honors will follow at Milbank City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by: American Legion Birch-Miller Post #9, V.F.W. Grant County Post #3486, V.V.A. Northeast SD Chapter #1054, and D.A.V. Chapter #19.  Casket bearers will be: Robb Zeigler, Todd Borns, Rick Briggs, Kyle Brassel, Jeff Klages, James Klages, Jerald Klages, and Larry Thielen. Honorary bearers will be Todd's nieces, nephews, and Larson co-workers.

To protect the health and safety of all, services are currently being limited to 10 people as recommended by state and local authorities and the CDC. Expressions of sympathy during this time can be left on the condolences page available with the obituary on our website. The funeral service will be live streamed and recorded and will be viewable on our website. Friends who cannot attend the service are welcome to come to the funeral home parking lot and watch the live stream on their mobile device.  They are welcome to drive in procession with the family to the cemetery, and stay in their cars during the committal service.

Todd David Zeigler was born on March 2, 1966, in Watertown, SD.  He was the son of Harold David and Beverly Jean (Briggs) Zeigler.  Todd grew up in Watertown, SD, and moved to Milbank, SD in 1978. He graduated from Milbank High School in 1984.   While living in Milbank, Todd worked at Pizza Hut from 1984-1985.  He moved to Canton, SD in 1985 and worked for McCords Transmissions.  Todd was united in marriage with Jeanne Klages on March 19, 1988, in Milbank.  They were blessed with two sons: Justin and Trevor.

Todd and Jeanne moved to Brookings, SD, in 1992 and moved to Aurora, SD, in 2017.  Todd was employed with Larson Manufacturing for 27 years in Brookings where he worked as a literature inventory specialist.

Todd cherished his family!  He loved doing things for them and always put them first.  This included his wife, sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, parents, siblings, and in-laws. Every family member was loved by Todd.  He enjoyed spending time with and training the family Labrador, Hope.  He played on multiple golf leagues at Edgebrook Golf Course in Brookings, and usually could be found on the course on beautiful days.

Todd’s family and friends knew that the Kansas City Chiefs were his passion in the football world!  He organized a fantasy football league with his friends and family for many years.  He loved working on projects to improve the quality of living for his family, whether it was working in the yard, doing a project inside, or just fixing things around the house.

Left to cherish Todd’s memory are his wife of 32 years, Jeanne of Aurora, SD; his sons: Justin (Kara) Zeigler of Winner, SD, and their children: Lincoln and Zoey; and Trevor (Chevelle) Zeigler of Grand Forks, ND, and their children: Atticus and Scarlet; his parents: Harold and Beverly Zeigler of Milbank, SD; brother, Robb (Julie) Zeigler of McDonough, GA; sister, Lezlee Zeigler of Vermillion, SD; brother-in-law, Todd Borns of Milbank, SD; mother-in-law, Elouise Klages of Ortonville, MN; brothers-in-law, Jeff (Mary) Klages of Ortonville, MN; James (Julie) Klages of Chamberlain, SD; Jerald (Kristen) Klages of Hawley, MN; sisters-in-law: Joni Quam of Cannon Falls, MN; Jacklin (Larry) Thielen of Granite Falls, MN; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Todd was preceded in death by one sister, Michelle Zeigler Borns; maternal grandparents: Arthur and Margaret Briggs; paternal grandparents: Harvey and Clara Zeigler; father-in-law, David Klages; and sister-in-law, Julie Klages.
