Micheal Seezs

Micheal Seezs, age 66, of Wilmot, SD, passed away on March 11, 2020, at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home Chapel in Milbank.  Rev. Timothy Koch will officiate.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Micheal Wayne Seezs was born on September 15, 1953, in Milbank, SD.  He was the son of Marvin and Ethel (Benting) Seezs.  He was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. He attended school in Milbank and graduated with the Milbank High School Class of 1971.

Mike started his career as a quarryman, first working for Hunter Granite Company, and later for Cold Spring Granite Company.  He was united in marriage with Kathy Smith on May 26, 1973.  They were blessed with three children: Jerry, Janelle, and Josh.  When Mike was in his 40’s, he completed an auto mechanics program at Lake Area Vo-tech, graduating in the top five percent of his class.

Mike was united in marriage with Teresa McDonald on June 20, 2009.  Mike and Teresa continued to live in Wilmot.  He was a wonderful man who would help anyone in need.  He loved to fish and hunt for pheasants.  He was mechanically inclined and enjoyed tinkering with cars.  He was proud to have built his modified hot rod Model T.  He also enjoyed playing pool and darts.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teresa of Wilmot, SD; his children: Jerry Seezs of Big Stone City, SD; Janelle Madsen of Milbank, SD; and Josh (Sadie) Seezs of St. Cloud, MN; six grandchildren: Brianna, Dallas, Casside, Olivia, Jack, and Elsie; and one sister, Linda Neitzel of Watertown, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters: Elaine and Juanita.
