Jerry John Ehlebracht, age 66, of Milbank, died on October 5, 2020, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 12, at Calvary Church in Milbank. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, at the Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Milbank City Cemetery.

While maintaining social distancing guidelines, we are now able to gather for visitations and services. The use of face masks by attendees is required , and we will continue taking the necessary steps to keep our facility clean. For those who prefer or require continued precautions, webcasting and/or livestreaming will be available and viewable on this website below Jerry's obituary.

Jerry John Ehlebracht was born on January 11, 1954, in Milbank, SD, to John and Verolea (Schmidt) Ehlebracht. He attended Milbank schools, and served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. Jerry served in the National Guard after his discharge from the Navy. Jerry was a hard worker and he loved driving truck; he drove truck for Dedicated Logistics Inc. and recently for Kranz Construction. He also worked for Cold Spring Granite Company. Jerry enjoyed remodeling projects. There wasn’t anything he could not fix!

Jerry served as an usher for many years at Calvary Church. He was a member of the VFW. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. Jerry’s grandchildren were the apples of his eye and his face would light up whenever they were around.

Jerry Ehlebracht is survived by his wife, Sharon, of Milbank, SD; son, Shawn Ehlebracht, of Watertown, SD; daughters: Darcie (Matt) O’Farrell of Marvin, SD; Robin (Jeff Schmidt) Ehlebracht, of Twin Brooks, SD; grandchildren: Shalee, Devon, Desiree, and Maddi; great-grandchildren: Kali and Hunter; mother Verolea Ehlebracht, of Milbank, SD; sisters: Kay (Neal) Thompson, of Milbank, SD; Brenda (Bob) Holtquist, of Milbank, SD; Sue Berge, of Rosen, MN; brothers: Wayne (Kim) Ehlebracht, of Milbank, SD; Jeff (Freida) Ehlebracht, of Milbank, SD; and Jason (Kristy) Ehlebracht of Parkston,SD.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Mary Lawrence; and brother, Richard Ehlebracht.
