Gary Opseth, age 50, of Watauga, Texas, formerly of the Milbank-Watertown area, passed away on December 23, 2021.
Gary Martin Opseth was born on February 15, 1971, in Ortonville, MN, to Orville Opseth, Jr. and Mary (Cramer) Opseth. Gary attended school in Revillo and Watertown before moving to Texas where he graduated from Lamar High School in Arlington, TX, in 1989. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he served our country as an air traffic controller from 1990 to 1995, stationed in Sicily, Italy, and Corpus Christi, TX. He attended school at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks until 1998 when he became an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at Fort Worth-Meachum International Airport. He concluded his years of federal service working for the United States Postal Service.
Gary had a love for kitties, pool, family, friends, and fast cars, especially Chevrolet Corvettes. He enjoyed watching Dallas Cowboys Football and NASCAR. While he loved living in Texas, he was always happy to come home to see his family and friends.
