Ann Hendricks

Ann Christine Hendricks, 100 years young of Graceville, MN passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Grace Home in Graceville, MN.

Ann’s celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, Minnesota. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Friday, May 6, with a prayer service at 7:00, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. Interment will be at St Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Beardsley, MN.

Ann Christine Hendricks was born on Oct. 25, 1921, in Barry, MN to Clarence and Annie (Goodhart) Reddy. She was raised and educated in the Barry and Graceville area. Ann married Norbert Hendricks on Aug. 26, 1940, in Barry, MN. They lived and farmed in the Beardsley, MN area until Norbert’s death. Ann then moved to Graceville, MN where she was a volunteer at the Community Center and assisted with various activities. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother who raised 12 children. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed socializing with family and friends, as well as dedicating her shopping skills to find the best bargain available. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She was a caretaker, and a worrier, who always put people first.

Ann Hendricks is survived by her children: Donald (Bonnie) Hendricks, of Willmar, MN; Roger (Darlene) Hendricks, of Beardsley, MN; Jerry (Bonnie) Hendricks, of Alexandria, MN; Diane (Charles) Hagen, of Las Vegas NV; Norbert (Rita) Hendricks, of Sauk Center, MN; Thomas (Sheila) Hendricks, of Alexandria, MN;  Kenneth (Julie) Hendricks, of Beardsley, MN; Michael (Kay) Hendricks, of Alexandria, MN; Bruce (Kathie) Hendricks, Luverne, MN; Stephen (Sheila) Hendricks, of Belle Plaine, MN; Denise (Pat) Vold, of Breckenridge, MN; daughter-in-law, Dixie Hendricks of Corona, SD;  45 grandchildren; 92 great grandchildren; and 24 great-great grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Hendricks; sons Richard Hendricks, Leo Hendricks, Kevin Hendricks; parents, Clarence and Annie Reddy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Ann Hendricks; sisters, Mary Cook, Lucille Hendricks, and Evelyn Birchem; grandson, Luke Hendricks; and granddaughter Alena O’Neill.
