Timmie Krause, age 53, of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Milbank, SD, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Emanual Lutheran Church in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Pastor Chris Davis will officiate, and inurnment will be at Milbank City Cemetery.
The service will be livestreamed and recorded and will be viewable at the bottom of this page.
Timmie William Krause was born on March 14, 1972, in Milbank, SD, to Melvin and Verda (Egeberg) Krause. His life was shaped by his love for the open road, his commitment to family, and his deep-seated passion for trains.
Raised in Milbank, Timmie attended local schools. He embarked on a rewarding career as an over-the-road truck driver, traversing the highways and byways of the United States. This profession allowed him to explore the country and meet many interesting people.
Timmie was a beloved member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he found community and support in his faith.
An enthusiast of trains and model trains, Timmie loved each opportunity to visit train shows and share his passion with others. His affinity for trains was not merely a hobby; it was a cherished part of his identity that connected him with friends and fellow enthusiasts alike.
Surviving Timmie are his sister, Carol (Dale) Dorman of Sioux Falls, SD; his brothers: Denny Krause of Milbank, SD; Gary Krause (Gloria Crist) of Milbank, SD; and Ron (Kim) Krause of Milbank, SD; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; along with many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Jan Krause.
