Theresa Reinke

Theresa Harriet Reinke was born February 29, 1924, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Nicholas and Dora (Gagnon) Thies. She grew up near Morris, MN where she attended school. When Theresa was in her teens, her family moved to Ortonville, which is where she met Leonard Reinke. They were married on March 3, 1948. To this union, seven children were born. Ortonville is where Theresa and Leonard made their home. Leonard died on January 27, 1999, at which time Theresa moved to Oxford, AL, to live with her daughter, Jeannette.

Theresa found joy in needlework and playing cards. She made the greatest pancakes! She volunteered at Northridge Residence in Ortonville and for the American Red Cross. Her greatest love was her family – and NO ONE corrected her grandchildren in front of her!

Theresa H. Reinke is survived by her children: Peggy (Charles) Denman of Waterloo, IN; Jeannette (Ralph) Riddle of Oxford, AL; David of Alexandria, MN; Patty Mittage of Mankato, MN; Ray of San Antonio, TX; Rick (Donna) of Grand Forks, ND; and Nick (Kathy) of Spearfish, SD; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her brother, Wallace Thies of Mountain Home, ID; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant sister; her sister, Shirley Hetman; and her brother, LeRoy Thies.
