Steven D. Schultz

Steven Schultz , age 56, of Watertown, SD, passed away on November 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in rural Milbank. Rev. Nathan Neugebauer will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The urn bearer will be his brother, Michael Schultz.

Steven Douglas Schultz was born on October 2, 1967, in Ortonville, MN. He was the son of Martin Walter Schultz and Jessie Irene (Fosher) Schultz. Steven lived in the Big Stone City area. He was born with Down Syndrome and lived in care facilities in Vermillion, Redfield, and most recently in Watertown.

Steven loved the Disney movies and characters. He enjoyed having blankets, shirts, and stuffed toys with Disney characters on them. He enjoyed music and loved to go to McDonald’s for a meal. He especially loved airplanes and airports.

Steven Schultz is survived by his siblings: Michael Schultz of Brainerd, MN; Barbara Swenson of Brainerd, MN; Donna (Dennis) Lindholm of Graceville, MN; and Linda Schmidt of Brainerd, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents: Martin and Jessie Schultz; and his sister and brother-in-law: Marva and Kenneth Carr.
