Sheryl Schroeder

Sheryl Schroeder, 76, of Sioux Falls, SD, and formerly of Milbank, SD, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.  

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Milbank City Cemetery. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

Sheryl was born March 1, 1948, to Kenneth and Elizabeth (Bagwell) Skinner of Dallas, TX. She grew up and attended school in Dallas, TX. Sheryl moved to Watertown, SD, with her parents in 1967 where she attended Lake Area Technical Institute to obtain her LPN. In Watertown is where Sheryl met Jim Schroeder and the two were united in marriage on August 15, 1969. The couple soon after moved to Milbank, SD, where they had four daughters whom all grew up and attended school in Milbank. Jim and Sheryl resided in Milbank until Jim's death in 1997. Sheryl then moved to Sioux Falls, SD to be closer to her children. 

Sheryl is survived by her daughters: Kristin Schroeder, Karrie Schroeder, Nicole Schroeder and Victoria Schroeder all of Sioux Falls, SD; and her sister, Denny (John) Young of Wimberley, TX. Sheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Schroeder; as well as her parents and grandparents.
