Sharon Peck

Jul 30, 1950 — Oct 20, 2025

Big Fork, MN

Sharon Peck, age 75, of Big Fork, MN, passed away on October 20, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.

A celebration of life for Sharon was held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville, MN. Visitation was held one hour prior to the celebration at the funeral home. Inurnment was at Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Sharon was born in Ortonville, MN, to the late Earl and Clarice (Karels) Redepenning on July 30, 1950. She was the oldest of 10 children.

She lived in Ortonville until her graduation from OHS Class of 1968. She then made her move to the Twin Cities, where she worked in various clerical positions.

In June 1973, Sharon started her 33-year career as the Records Technician with the Coon Rapids Police Department. At work, Sharon was known for her fun-loving nature and her uncanny ability to recall case numbers of the top of her head. She retired in May 2008.

Sharon met Gordy Seymour in 1978, and he was instrumental in helping her through some difficult times. His kindness led to a loving relationship and in 1981, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Ryan.

In her personal time, Sharon enjoyed gardening and always appreciated the beauty Mother Nature provided. She also had a soft spot for animals and loved getting pictures of family’s furballs. It is grandma’s love of all kitties that Rubyann will cherish.

At family gatherings, Sharon was many times the life of the party, loving the music, and when her legs allowed, she would tear up the dance floor. When her legs started failing her, she could be heard singing karaoke, especially Eric Clapton’s “You look Wonderful Tonight”. Sharon was a generous soul, opening up her home for family and friends, always with the offer of a hot meal. She enjoyed giving gifts and relished nothing more than to see the joy on the faces of those she loved.

Sharon is survived by her son Ryan Redepenning, daughter in law Rosemarie, and their daughter Rubyann, who was the light of her life. Siblings Ann Trebil (Joe), Robert Redepenning, Mary Erickson (Rick), Julie Billett (Gary), Michael Redepenning (Amy) and Deb Kaczmarck (Karl).

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her sister Linda Jean, brother David, sister in law Denise, and Ryan’s dad Gordy.

Death can end a life but not extinguish the flame. Our memories of Sharon will shine as a symbol of a life and loved remembered, for in those memories, her love and laughter still echoes.

This obituary was lovingly written by Sharon’s family.
