Scott Kelly

Scott Kelly, age 56, of Milbank, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Milbank Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Services for Scott Kelly will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Fr. Gary DeRouchey will officiate. A private burial will be conducted at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Mundwiler Funeral Home.

Scott Kelly was born on April 3, 1961 to Robert and Marlys (Jacobson) Kelly in Milbank, SD.  He had four siblings: Mike, Patrick, Roxanne, and Stacey.  They grew up in the Milbank area until he joined the Job Corps.  He also lived in Sioux Falls, Brandon and Watertown prior to settling back in Milbank.

Scott was a “jack of all trades and the family wanderer!”  He worked in construction in Sioux Falls and Eastern South Dakota.  He did many things and enjoyed the different opportunities he was given.   He worked at the Tree Farm in Watertown for three years, where he learned a great deal about plants and the growing process.

He loved to camp and spending time in the outdoors.  He spent memorable times with his nieces and nephews and liked sharing new things he was doing. Scott was also known to be very good at saving his money.  Scott was very kind hearted and loved helping others.

Scott is survived by his sisters: Stacey (Drew) Schultz of Baltic, SD, and Roxanne Wohlleber of Watertown, SD; brothers: Mike (Barb) Kelly of Aberdeen, SD and Patrick Kelly of Watertown, SD; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Marlys; and several cousins.
