Patricia "Pat" Boerger, age 82, of Milbank, passed away on Sunday, August 29, at St. Williams Care Center in Milbank.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the church in Milbank. Burial will be at the Milbank City Cemetery.
Patricia Gail Pansch was born on August 5, 1939 in Ortonville, MN, to Martin and Florence (Zahn) Pansch. She was baptized on August 27, 1939, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Yellowbank Township, MN. Pat was confirmed on June 21, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ortonville, MN. She attended school in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School in 1957.
Pat married Jim Boerger at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ortonville on September 4, 1959. Pat and Jim farmed for many years, raising their family of three on the farm north of Milbank. Pat was always active in the operation of the farm. She was also involved in the kids’ activities and sports. Pat and Jim welcomed brothers Dan and Jeff to the family when they were 8 years old.
After farming, Pat worked several part-time jobs, and enjoyed making new friends. Her church was an important part of her life, and she had many good friends among her Emanuel Lutheran church family and especially in Ladies Aide.
Pat Boerger is survived by her children: Brad (Geni) Boerger of Metamora, OH; Tom (Lisa) Boerger of Jamestown, ND; Marge (Tony) Van Lith of Sutherland, IA; grand-children: Joe (Allie) Boerger, Jordan Boerger, Phil (Whitney) Boerger, Andrea Boerger, Anthony Robinson, Isaac (Lisa) Robinson, Michael (Hilary) Robinson, Jacob Van Lith; great-grandchildren: Eliza, Penn, Logan, Alex, Oliver, Ky, Tensley, Ana, Matthew, Jordan; brothers and sisters: Dan (Kristi) Pansch, Jeff (Norma) Pansch, Linda Drummond, Lorna Poel, Curt Pansch; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim, in 2013; grandson Seth Robinson; and brother Bob Pansch.
Memorials are preferred to Emanuel Lutheran Church, or Orpan Grain Train.
