Patricia Guse

Patricia Jane (Hein) Guse, age 77, formerly of Odessa died on August 8, 2017. Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville. Rev. Ailsa Odom will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be: Derek Guse, Ryan Guse, Aaron Guse, Benjamin Schuerman, Brandon Guse, and Justin Guse.

Honorary bearers will be: David Guse, Steven Guse, Heidi Guse, Bryan Schuerman, Brett Schuerman, Josh Guse, Alex Guse, Eric Guse, Thomas Guse and Christopher Guse.

Patricia Jane (Hein) Guse was born on October 3, 1939, in Ortonville Township. She was the daughter of Herman Gust Hein Sr. and Margaret (Nee Fosher) Hein. She attended Odessa Country School and Ortonville High School, and later obtained her GED. She was baptized at the EUB Church in Odessa, and was later confirmed at Emmanuel Church, east of Ortonville. She was united in marriage with Lee Guse on January 18, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville. They were blessed with seven children: Allan, Richard, Harlan, Larry, Linda, Myron, and Lorne.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved her family dearly. Her fondest memories were of family gatherings, when her children were all home or visiting relatives. She loved watching her children get married and was overjoyed by the birth of all her grandchildren.

In addition to caring for her family, she also worked as a Home Health Aide for many years. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, gardening, mowing her lawn, and her beloved canine companion, Kirby.

Patricia is survived by her children: Allan (Kathy) Guse of Ortonville, MN; Richard (Beth) Guse of Correll, MN; Larry (Debbie) Guse of Correll, MN; Linda (Randy) Schuerman of Milan, MN; Myron (Kimberly) Guse of Appleton, MN; and Lorne (Dawn) Guse of Zumbrota, MN; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers: Robert Hein of Fergus Falls, MN; and Herman (Shirley) Hein Jr. of Milbank, SD; and sister, Janice Radtke of Annandale, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Margaret Hein; husband, Lee Guse; and son, Harlan Guse.
