Orville Grimm

Funeral services for Orville Grimm, age 70, of Odessa, MN will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2012 from 5-8:00 PM at the Larson Funeral Home in Ortonville, with a prayer service beginning at 5 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Pastor Marlene Elmstrom and Associate Pastor David Tonn will be officiating. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Orville Herman Grimm was born on May 14, 1941, to Herman and Vera (Bower) Grimm in Odessa. He graduated from Ortonville High School in 1959.

In June of 1965, Orville was united in marriage to Clarice Johnson. They moved to Yuba City, CA in 1970, where they made their home before returning to Odessa in 1980.

Orville was a cross country truck driver for over 30 years. He also owned and operated the Hole in the Wall Cafe and Arcade in Ortonville during the mid 1980s. For the past few years he was a bus driver for the Ortonville School District, where he really enjoyed taking the kids to and watching various sporting events.

Orville found pleasure in gardening, sharing coffee with friends, watching movies, and listening to music. One of his favorite pastimes was his Sunday visits with his friends at the Legion. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, larger than life spirit, and generous heart.

Orville passed away on Saturday, February 18th, having reached the age of 70.

Left with his loving memory are his children: Vonda (John) Constantine of Blue River, OR; Kristi (Tom) Feist of Wells, MN; Michelle McKim of Denver, CO; Tanya Grimm of Denver, CO; and Robert (Heather) Grimm of Portland, OR; three grandchildren: Alexis, Kaden, and Gracie Grimm; his brothers: Marvin, Loren, and Gerald; his sister, Marcella (Eugene) Stotesbery; and several nieces and nephews.

Orville is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Willard.
