Nancy was a mother with a heart of gold. Her life was filled with love, laughter, and countless memories shared with the people who meant the most to her. Those who knew her were blessed to experience the warmth, kindness, and love she gave so freely. Growing up with Mom meant coming home to the comforting aroma of homemade baked goods and a delicious dinner cooking on the stove.
Mom was famous for her homemade tacos. The neighborhood kids always knew when taco night was happening. She would make what she thought was plenty, often around 30 tacos, only to wonder how she ended up with just 20 after her children shared them with friends. No one ever left Mom’s house hungry. Whether it was a little extra money for the grandkids, a plate of baked goods, a home-cooked meal, a big hug, or hearing “I love you,” Mom always made sure everyone left with something special.
Nancy’s personality was full of joy and laughter. She found humor in life and had a way of making everyone around her smile. She was her family’s biggest cheerleader, always there on the sidelines at games and through every one of life’s ups and downs. Her kindness, compassion, and beautiful smile could brighten any room. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued.
Although our mother is no longer with us physically, her spirit will live on through the lessons she taught us and the love she shared. We will forever miss her gentle guidance, comforting hugs, laughter, and unwavering support. Mom was more than a mother, she was our rock, our confidant, and our guiding light. Her love will continue to shine through us and guide us for the rest of our lives.
She leaves behind her children: John Reedy, Patty (Robert) Mack, Phyllis Everling, Kathy Reedy, and Dennis Reedy; loving grandchildren: David Mack, Sarah Mack, Jason Mack, Nancy Kennedy, Brittney Everling, Summer Gomez, Chaz Reedy, Tyler Reedy, Jamison Reedy, Preston Reedy, Alex Reedy, Cynthia Stidham, and Sabrina Reedy, along with many other relatives and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Reedy; grandsons: Robby Everling and Bryce Reedy; and daughters-in-law: Lonnie Reedy and Stephanie Ashmore.
Nancy’s love was a gift that touched many lives. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, laughter, and unconditional love will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Lovingly written by her family.
