Milton Browning

George Milton "Milt" Browning, age 91, of Milbank, SD, formerly of Rapid City, SD, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Avantara - Milbank Nursing Home, SD.

A private inurnment will take place at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, SD, with family in attendance.

George Milton “Milt” Browning was born on December 28, 1933, in Lemmon, SD, to Mary Ellen Read Browning and George Scott Browning. 

Milt was raised in Belle Fourche, SD, where he graduated from high school in 1953. He had a successful career in real estate and owned rental properties in Pierre, Rapid City, and Duluth, MN.

Known for his sharp wit and intelligence, Milt was a proud member of MENSA. His playful personality and quick humor earned him many lifelong friendships.

He is survived by his daughters: Marla Browning and Robin Webber; sisters: Dorothy Langerman and Delores (Jerry) Ekberg; brother, Curtis (Patt) Browning; as well as his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

Milt was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Colleen; son, Michael; and brother, Monte.
