Mavis E. Reupke

Mavis Reupke, age 75, of Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Ortonville, MN, passed away on February 20, 2025, in Minneapolis, MN.

A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Milbank on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.  The service will be live streamed, recorded and viewable below this obituary.

A memorial service was held on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Mount Olivet Careview Home, Minneapolis, MN, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.

Mavis Elaine Reupke was born on November 15, 1949, in Ortonville, MN. She was the daughter of Harry and Arla (Serck) Pinkert.

Mavis grew up on the family farm in rural Milbank, SD. She attended school in Milbank. On June 23, 1979, she was united in marriage with David J. Reupke at First English Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. They were blessed with three children: John, Denise, and Annette. They made their home in Mankato, MN, then moved to Ortonville, MN.

Mavis worked many years as a nurse’s aide in Ortonville and in Mankato. She had a caring heart and a genuine love of helping others. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: son, John (David) Christle of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Annette Reupke of Fairmont, MN; brother: Elroy Pinkert of Red Wing, MN; sister: Norma Pinkert of Big Stone City, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Denise Reupke; and her husband, David in 2022.
