Margaret was united in marriage with Robert Gene Ringger on September 26, 1964, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Margaret and Robert made their home on the Ringger family homestead near Dumont, MN. They were blessed with two children: Dana and Daniel.

Margaret dedicated herself to leadership within her community, school, and church. She organized numerous community parades and celebrations. She was very active with Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Schools and lead the Knowledge Bowl and Student Council. Her goal in life was to help children reach their full potential.
