Marcella Baker

Funeral services for Marcella Baker, age 63, of Ortonville, will be held Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Living Hope Fellowship - Assembly of God in Ortonville, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Rev. David Homrighausen will officiate. Music will be provided by Jerri Homrighausen. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Odessa, Minnesota.

Marcella Ann Baker was born on October 10, 1948 in St. Paul, Minnesota to John and Ella (Ditty) Basques. Ella was widowed and later married Henry Del Castillo, who was also a father to Marcella. Marcella attended Harding High School. On February 9, 1967 she was united in marriage to Donald Baker, Sr. in Webster, South Dakota. To this union four children were born. Marcella and Don moved to Ortonville in 1984.

Marcella found enjoyment playing cards and going to casinos. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, relishing time spent with her family.

Marcella passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 in Ortonville, Minnesota. She had lived to reach the age of 63 years.

Left to cherish Marcella's memory are her husband, Donald Sr. of Ortonville; daughter Linda (Ken) Ekblad of St. Paul; sons Donald Jr. (Penny) of Madison, Minnesota, John of Ortonville, and Bill (Ginger) of Ortonville; eight Grandchildren; six Great Grandchildren; her brother John (Eileen) Ditty of St. Paul; and her sister Fran (Don) Kopitzke of Ortonville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Brenda Yanka.
