Lynn J. Lupinek

Lynn J. Lupinek, age 79, of rural Summit, SD, passed away on August 31, 2024.

Private services will be held. 

Lynn Jerome Lupinek was born on May 3, 1945, in Watertown, SD. He was the son of Edward Wilber Lupinek and Isabell Adalyn (Zielsky) Lupinek. Lynn grew up in the Summit and South Shore areas. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He graduated from South Shore High School. He was united in marriage on June 20, 1985, with Rhonda Dockter. They were blessed with two sons: Michael and Dustin.

Lynn moved to rural Summit, SD in 1964, and has since resided. His career was in farming, which he did his entire life.

Lynn Lupinek is survived by his two sons: Michael (Sharon) Lupinek of Gillette, WY; and Dustin (Brooke) Lupinek of Watertown, SD; three grandchildren: Nathan, Jayden, and Alita; his ex-wife, Rhonda Lupinek of Gillette, WY; two brothers: Lowell Lupinek of St. Cloud, MN; and Ronald (Joyce) Lupinek of Coon Rapids, MN; one niece; and six nephews. Lynn was preceded in death by his grandparents: Reuben and Anna Zielsky; Anton and Olga Zemlicka; his parents: Edward and Isabell Lupinek; sister, Cheryl O’Farrell; and sister-in-law, Pennie (Larson) Lupinek.
