Lyle Olson

Lyle Emmet Olson was born on September 1, 1934, at his Grandma's house in Clinton, MN. to Lawrence and Jeanette (Borreson) Olson. He attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Clinton High School in 1955.
He farmed in Graceville Township.
Lyle was united in marriage to Joan Ella Wickland on April 8, 1961 at United Methodist Church in Clinton. They were blessed with two adopted children; John and Sheri. Their family made their home on a farm in Moonshine Township.
Lyle farmed for forty years and and continued by helping his son farm. Lyle also worked at the Ford plant in Minneapolis, the Bureau of Engraving, two winters at Pillsbury, the A.S.C., Town and Country Hardware and Wilcox Precision in Morris for six years. Lyle served his country as a member of the Army National Guard in Ortonville.
Lyle passed away at Golden Living Center in Milbank, SD having reached the age of 78.
Lyle will be lovingly remembered by: children;-John (Carrie) Olson of Ortonville and Sheri (Tim) Marinan of Bethel, MN; grandchildren-Sawyer, Carly and Kirby Olson of Ortonville; brothers-Gilbert Olson of Clinton and Cliff (Barb) Olson of Graceville, MN; sister-Rosie Hessler of Seattle, WA along with many nieces and nephews.
Lyle was preceded in death by: his wife; parents; brother-Dwight Olson and sisters-Velma Jean Thorson and Lorraine Jaeger.
