Linda (O'Farrell) Roberts

Linda (O'Farrell) Roberts, 77, of Irving, TX, passed away on October 21, 2024, in Texas.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank and will close with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.

Linda Lou O’Farrell was born on July 10, 1947, in Milbank, South Dakota, to Alvin and Amanda (Olesen) O’Farrell. She was one of 13 children, including her twin brother, Larry. Linda attended country school in Osceola Township and later graduated from Wilmot High School in 1965. After high school, she held various jobs, including positions at Midland Insurance and Pam Oil.

On June 24,1978, Linda was united in marriage with Gary Roberts. Together, they worked for Chrysler Corp in Sioux Falls. The couple lived in various states including, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, and Texas. Following their divorce, Linda settled in Irving, TX, where she remained. There, she worked for an insurance company until her retirement.

Linda will be remembered for her deep love of children, her kindness to all her nieces and nephews, and her compassionate nature. She adored animals and had a generous heart, often spending time helping the elderly and those less fortunate.

She is survived by two sisters: Caroline Ammann of Wilmot, SD; and Doris (Harry) Slinden of Sioux Falls, SD; four brothers: Raymond O’Farrell of Marvin, SD; Larry (Pat) O’Farrell of Marvin, SD; William “Bill” (Joyleen) O’Farrell of Milbank, SD; and Terry (Cindy) O'Farrell of Watertown, SD; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Amanda O’Farrell; two sisters: Ellen Hudson and Mary Chapin; four brothers: Dean, John “Jack”, James “Jim”, and Richard “Dick” O’Farrell.
