Linda Jean Ladwig

Linda Ladwig, age 70, of Milbank, SD, passed away on May 19, 2023.

 A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Twin Brooks Cemetery. Rev. Nathan Neugebauer will officiate. All friends and relatives are invited.

Linda Jean Toutges Ladwig was born on May 5, 1953, in Cherokee, IA. She was the daughter of Edward and Dorothy (Wellnitz) Toutges. The family moved to South Dakota when Linda was four years old and settled in Grant County. Linda attended country school and also Koch School in Milbank.

Linda was united in marriage with George Janssen on October 6, 1971. They lived in Marvin, SD, and in South Shore, SD. They were blessed with two sons: Jonathan and Robert Janssen.

Linda later married Milo Alan Ladwig in 1996. They made their home in Milbank. Milo passed away in 2014, and Linda has since resided in Milbank.

Linda enjoyed the outdoors and watching Mother Nature. She loved to watch the deer in her backyard and enjoyed watching friends catch fish. She enjoyed grilling, backyard cookouts, and family gatherings.

Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her sons: Jonathan Janssen of Watertown, SD; and Robert (Barb) Janssen of Milbank, SD; three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Toutges; sister, Lavonna Keats; and her two husbands, George Janssen and Milo Ladwig.
