Leonard Bullock

Leonard Bullock, age 68 of Browns Valley died April 6, 2014, at Coteau des Prairies Hospital in Sisseton.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Browns Valley, MN. Rev. Paul Warnier will officiate and burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Leonard Lee Bullock was born to Marvin Richard and Mary Faye (Lancaster) Bullock on March 31, 1946, in Graceville, Minnesota. He was confirmed on June 26, 1960, in Zion Lutheran Church. In 1964 he graduated from Beardsley High School. Attending Alexandria VoTech, he graduated in 1966. On June 4, 1966, Leonard and Sharon Anne Oletzke were united in marriage in Beardsley, Minnesota. They were blessed with two children. After their marriage they moved to Blaine, Minnesota where Leonard was employed with WW Grainger, Inc. until 1980, at which time they returned to Browns Valley where Leonard took over the operations of the family farm. He retired in 2011 and they moved into town.

In 1967 Leonard joined the National Guard and was a member of the American Legion in Beardsley. He was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served on the church board and the finance committee. Leonard's hobbies included fishing, hunting, refinishing furniture, and playing cards. He found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities.

Leonard died on April 6, 2014, having reached the age of 68.

Cherishing his memory are his wife, Sharon of Browns Valley; daughter, Stacie (Matt) Lenssen of Watertown, SD; son, Jasen Bullock of Menomonie, WI; grandchildren: Abby and Nick; father, Marvin Bullock; brother, Jerry (Claudia) Bullock; sisters: Candy (Dave) Duffield and Nancy (Tim) Goodhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Leonard Bullock was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Bullock.
