Lance Korth

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Tabor United Methodist Church in Big Stone City, South Dakota. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Reverend Amy Atkins will officiate and burial will be at a later date.

Lance Rodney Korth was born on August 1, 1978 to Kevin and Kathy Korth in Breckenridge, Minnesota. He attended school in West Fargo, Wahpeton, and Watertown. Lance was active in wrestling, football, and baseball during his school years.

Lance was an Electrical Apprentice until he joined his father's business, Korth Enterprises, which set up farm machinery in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, and Wyoming. Two years ago he became the CEO of the business.

In April of 2009, Lance and his fiance, Brandi Erickson, were blessed by the birth of their daughter, Bailey Marie. She was Lance's pride and joy! Brandi and Bailey often accompanied Lance on his road trips, spending quality time as a family and creating special moments. Lance and Brandi were to be married in the spring of 2014.

Lance was a passionate football fan! Sundays were his day to watch the games on TV and banter with his father about the various plays. The Pittsburg Steelers have lost their greatest fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers Dusty and Sheldon - going to concerts and sharing a mutual love of sports.

Lance is survived by his fiance Brandi Erickson of Wahpeton, ND; his daughter Bailey Korth of Wahpeton, ND; his mother Kathy Korth of Big Stone City, SD; his father Kevin Korth of Wahpeton, ND; his brothers: Sheldon (Noelle) Korth of Milbank, SD and Dusty Korth of Wahpeton, ND; his sister Jessica Korth of Littleton, CO; his grandmother Eleanora Quast of Ortonville, MN; his niece Adrienne; and his nephews: Oliver and Dylan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wilfred and Kathryn Korth and Richard Quast; and his aunt, Brenda Korth.
