Katherine Foster

Katherine Foster, 73, passed away on December 31, 2024, at her home in Ortonville, MN. 

There will be no formal services.

Katherine Jean Foster and her twin sister, Kathleen, were born on May 23, 1951, in Ortonville, MN, to Elmer and Delores (Love) Foster. Katherine was baptized and confirmed at the Methodist Church in Ortonville. She attended school in Ortonville through the fifth grade before transferring to Clinton High School, where she graduated in 1969. She continued her education at Willmar Community College and later at Moorhead, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work.

In 1973, she moved to Fort Walton, FL, with her twin sister, Kathy. The following year, she relocated to Kissimmee, FL, where she worked as a housekeeper at Good Samaritan for over 44 years until her retirement. While she wasn’t perfect, Katherine often lent her support to her sister, Kathy, and her family. She enjoyed attending concerts, watching movies, and reading. Recently, she returned to Ortonville.

She is survived by her two sisters: Kathy Camp of Milbank, SD; Karen (Larry) Loehrer of Revillo, SD; and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Elizabeth Wellnitz; brother, Jerry (Judy) Foster; nephew; niece; great-nephew; and sister-in-law, Laura Camp.
