John Vesecky

John Vesecky, age 75, of McGregor, MN, formerly of Milbank, SD, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

A private family burial will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Milbank City Cemetery.

John Arthur Vesecky was born on March 5, 1947, in Webster, SD, to Albert and Helen “Bette” (Aurthur) Vesecky. He grew up back and forth from Webster to Texas and every place in between. John graduated from Milbank High School with the Class of 1965. Following graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota and studied computer science and business.

Traveling all over the United States, John worked as a computer salesman for about 10 years. He worked with computers his whole career.

When John wasn’t traveling for work, he enjoyed open water fishing and ice fishing. He loved to play Bocce Ball and a good game of pool. Cars were his passion and he loved going to car shows and showing off his own cars: a 1961 Chevy Corvette and a 1963 Buick which was his grandfather’s.

John is survived by his daughter, Karen (Bryce) Degendorfer; and his grandchildren: Aiden and Amelia; his niece, Kate Mattakat; and his nephew, Bob Staudinger, Jr.

Preceding him in death are his parents; and sister, Constance Irene Staudinger.
