Jeannine Olive (Danielson) Swenson was born in Ortonville, MN, on March 31, 1940, to Elmer and Olive (Robertson) Danielson. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of rural life on her family’s farm. She attended school in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School.

On November 15, 1958, Jeannine was united in marriage with Eldred Bernard Swenson at Eidskog Lutheran Church. To this union, five children were born.

As a devoted farm wife and homemaker, Jeannine worked tirelessly alongside her husband to cultivate their land, milk dairy cows, and raise their family. In later years, she contributed her culinary skills to the Ortonville School District, where she devoted a decade to cooking and caring for children in the community.

A lifelong member of the Eidskog Lutheran Church and later, the Abiding Faith Lutheran Church, Jeannine held a special place in her heart for the Women's Circle, where she cherished the fellowship and companionship of her fellow church members. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, influencing her nurturing spirit and her generous heart.

Jeannine was a woman of many passions. She found joy in reading, painting, and coloring, always eager to express her creativity. Her love for cooking and canning resulted in an array of delicious treats, with her famous brownies and apple pie earning praises from all who were fortunate to taste them. Her vegetable gardens yielded bountiful harvests, and her enchanting floral gardens were a testament to her dedication and love for nature.

Above all, Jeannine adored her family. She was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother who loved spending time with her loved ones whenever she could. Her joyous spirit touched the lives of many, and her warmth will be profoundly missed.

Left to cherish Jeannine’s memory are her children: Corrie (Kathy) Swenson of Clara City, MN; LeAnn (Dale) Warren of Milaca, MN; Kendall Swenson of Ham Lake, MN; and Travis (Melissa) Swenson of Avon, MN; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters: Arlyce Weeding of Ortonville, MN; and Carolyn “Punky” (Don) Verheul; along with many in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred in 2017; her son, Jarrod Swenson; grandson, Christopher Swenson; great-grandson, Gideon Swenson; parents, Elmer and Olive Danielson; brother, Evern Danielson; brother-in-law, Gaylord Weeding; and sisters-in-law: Carol Swenson, Jeronica Swenson, Eunice (Don) Wilts, Gweneth Swenson; and Ruth Danielson.
