Jane Mack, age 60, formerly of Ortonville, MN, passed away on December 18, 2025, at her home in St. Louis Park, MN.
A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ortonville on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Inurnment will be at Mound Cemetery following the service. A time of food and fellowship will follow the graveside service at the church.
Jane Ann Mack was born on June 19, 1965, in Ortonville, MN, to Basil and Ann (Kretsch) Mack. She was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.
After graduating from Ortonville High School, Jane embarked on a career as a product assembly technician, beginning in 1986. She made so many friends and memories as she navigated through various locales including Willmar, Cokato, Hutchinson, and finally, St. Louis Park, MN.
While living in Ortonville, Jane helped spearhead the opening of the Big Stone County Day Activity Center in Clinton, which later became Main Street Industries. She was also instrumental in the planning and building of Monarch Heights. Jane later became one of the first residents there.
A member of St. John's Catholic Church in Ortonville, Jane’s spirituality was an integral part of her life. She found joy in community and connection, and her warm spirit rallied those around her. Jane was particularly passionate about competing in the Special Olympics, where her perseverance shone brightly, and she also delighted in the sports of ballroom dancing and kayaking.
Outside of her sports and dancing, Jane enjoyed a myriad of activities that reflected her creative and nurturing nature. She loved crafting, watching movies, cooking, and sewing. Most of all, each moment spent with family and friends was a treasure she cherished deeply. Jane handled every adversity with patience and courage.
Jane is survived by her loving siblings: Mary Mack, Michael Mack, Susan Mack, and Kathleen Burling.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Basil and Ann Mack.
