James "Jim" Krause

James “Jim” Krause, age 76, of Milbank, SD, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. No public services will be held.

James Albert Krause was born on May 1, 1945, in Grant County, SD, to Harley and Esther (Aslakson) Krause. He attended school in the town of Albee, SD. James worked for 10 years at John Morrell then went to work as a truck driver. He was a hard worker for all of his life. James drove for Aesoph and Sons out of Milbank and for Bituminous Paving out of Odessa, MN.

In his earlier years, James enjoyed hunting small game. Later in life, he enjoyed watching old movies.

James is survived by his brother, Mike Krause of Milbank, SD; sisters: Donna Krause of Hayti, SD; and Shirley Splinter of Peoria, AZ; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brothers: Harlyne Krause and DuWayne Krause; and sisters: Rose Wiseman and Joyce Kruse.
