Jack D. Christenson

Jack Christenson, age 84, of Milbank, SD, died on July 25, 2025, at Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Milbank.

Family services will be held at a later date.

Jack Douglas Christenson was born on August 3, 1940, in Milbank, SD. He was the son of Douglas and Marion (Jorgenson) Christenson. Jack grew up in Marvin, SD, attended Milbank schools, and graduated from Milbank High School with the Class of 1958. Jack attended Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD, before serving in the United States Air Force for four years.

Jack worked for Western Union for most of his career, and lived in Moorhead, MN. After retiring, Jack enjoyed traveling and living in different parts of the United States.

Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved shopping for treasures at rummage sales and auctions and enjoyed his collection.

Left to cherish his memory are his two brothers: James Christenson of Milbank, SD; and Joel Christenson of Ft. McCoy, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents: Douglas and Marion; two wives: Bonnie Nieland and Sharon Knutson; and two children: Craig and Amy.
