Harold Sivertson

Harold Sivertson, age 82, of Chokio, MN, died on Sunday, January 9, at Essentia Health - Grace Home in Graceville, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chokio, MN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Harold Joseph Sivertson was born on May 27, 1939, in Morris, MN, to Sigvald and Clarice (Barlage) Sivertson. He attended country school in rural Chokio, MN, and graduated from Chokio High School with the Class of 1958.

Always a hard worker, Harold started working on various farms around Chokio. Later, he went to work for the Chokio Equity Exchange Company and the Chokio Elevator. Harold lived at home with his mother and father until they passed away in 2001.

Following retirement, Harold loved attending auctions and farm sales. He never missed an episode of “The Price is Right” or “Wheel of Fortune”.

Harold was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years.

Harold is survived by his sister, Joyce Olson of Maple Grove, MN; many cousins; and numerous good and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Jerry Olson.
