Delores Sitter

Delores Sitter, age 89, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at Northridge Residence.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. at New Life Community Baptist Church in Ortonville with Rev. Don Fischer officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Delores Elizabeth Sitter was born on October 15, 1925, in Big Stone City, South Dakota to Walter and Camilia (Cloos) Camus. She graduated from Big Stone City High School in 1943. On November 20, 1949, she was united in marriage with Earl Sitter. They made their home in rural Ortonville, where they farmed and raised two sons. She was a hardworking farm wife. On January 31, 1976, Earl died. Following Earl's death, Delores worked a variety of jobs. In 1987, she moved to Ortonville. Since 1962, Delores had attended 1st Baptist Church (which is now New Life Community Baptist Church). In 2011 she moved to Northridge residence.

Delores is survived by her sons: Bruce Sitter and Steve (Mary) Sitter, all of Ortonville; five grandchildren: Kathryn of Phoenix, AZ; Natalie of St. Cloud; Paul, Dan, and James, all of Ortonville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl in 1976; brother, Lynn Fred Camus; and sister, Bernice Karels.
