David Hegge

David Hegge, age 78, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Sanfor USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

The family is planning a private memorial ceremony Summer 2023.

David Eugene Hegge was born on October 31, 1944, in Ortonville, MN, to Harold and Esther (Haugen) Hegge. He attended school in Ortonville and graduated from Ortonville High School with the Class of 1962.

Following high school, David enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years. When he was honorably discharged, he traveled to Denver, CO, where he met and married the love of his life, Cheryl Orr.

David moved back to Ortonville and joined his brother, Roger, in working at the Big Stone Lumber Yard for 30 years.

David is survived by Nikki Quinn of Parker, CO; Teresa Wong of Winona, MN; and sisters: Gloria Lindquist of Pasco, WA; and Elaine Nelson of Fridley, MN.

Preceding him in death are is parents; wife, Cheryl; and two brothers: Ronald Hegge, and Roger Hegge.
