Darryl Propp

Darryl Propp, age 90, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in the Memory Care Unit at Fairway View in Ortonville, MN.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Clinton City Cemetery in Clinton, MN.

Darryl Lester Propp was born on October 9, 1930, in Graceville, MN, to Lester and Marie (Dimberg) Propp. He attended country school at District #27 and Clinton Grade School. Darryl graduated high school from Clinton with the Class of 1948. After high school, Darryl and his brother, Duane, went to work with their father on the family farm.

On April 4, 1981, Darryl was united in marriage with Dolores (Skrabak) Nelson. The couple continued to live on the farm as the third generation. Darryl was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Elim Free Lutheran Church. He served on various boards throughout the county, including the Farmer’s Elevator, and was a member of the Farmer’s Union. Darryl was also a member of the Olde Power and Machinery Club. In his free time, Darryl enjoyed remodeling and maintaining the farm place and working in the garden.

Darryl is survived by his wife, Dolores of Ortonville, MN; three step-children; two nieces and two nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lester and Marie; brother, Duane Propp; and nephew, Stephen.
