Cory Stallman

Cory Stallman, age 43, of Willmar, MN, formerly of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at his home.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Tabor United Methodist Church in Big Stone City, SD.

Cory Richard Stallman was born on November 19, 1979, in Starbuck, MN, to Richard and Debra (Athey) Stallman. Cory lived in Big Stone City, SD, for many years and graduated high school with the Class of 1997. He later made his home in Willmar, MN.

Loving the outdoors, Cory was an avid fisherman. He loved listening to music, making people laugh, and was known for playing pranks on his friends and family. Cory’s family and friends were very important to him and he always made time to hang out with them.

Left to cherish Cory’s memory are his parents, Richard (Deb) Stallman; sister, Cari (Rich) Raffety; and nephews: Mason Raffety, Evan Raffety, and Levi Raffety.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, John (Mary) Stallman; maternal grandparents, Donald (Ellen) Athey; and aunt, Mary Anne Stallman.
