Clem Wiegman

Mundwiler Larson Funeral Home announces the death of Clem Wiegman, age 84, of rural Graceville. Clem passed away on June 14, 2012 at his home. Funeral Services will be on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville, MN. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 5-7:00 PM at Mundwiler Larson Funeral Home in Graceville, MN, a prayer service will be at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday. Father David Breu will be officiating and burial will be at the Graceville Consolidated Cemetery.

Clement F. Wiegman was born on June 17, 1927 in rural Tara Township, MN, to parents Leo and Sophia (Snyder) Wiegman. Clem was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Parish in Collis, MN. He attended 1st grade at the Collis school and then continued 2nd through 12th grades in Graceville at the St. Mary's Academy graduating with the class of 1946.

On September 6, 1958, Clem was united in marriage to Laurie Bauer by Father Francis Koretic at St. Patrick's Church in Collis, MN. To this union, six children were born.

Clem was a dedicated farmer his whole life, in his later years, he helped his nephew Dan farm. He loved being a Dad and Grandpa and his family meant the world to him.

Clem always had many and varied interests; a few would include: fishing, vegetable and flower gardening, woodworking and raising wildlife. He also loved time spent at the cabin with Laurie and other family members.

Clem was diagnosed with a brain tumor on March 1, 2012. He died peacefully at home on June 14, 2012 with his family by his side. He had lived to reach the age of 84, just three days shy of his 85th birthday.

Clem is survived by his wife, Laurie of Graceville; his children: Steve (Debi) Wiegman of Hoffman, MN, Lee Wiegman of Clearwater, FL, Carolyn (Bryan) Maag of Florence, SD, Tony (Eila) Wiegman of Florence, SD, Tammy (Steve) Boyer of Rice, MN and Cory Wiegman of Willmar, MN; grandchildren: Tyler (Cathy) Wiegman, Nathan (Desi) Wiegman, Samantha (Lorne) Serr, Melaney Maag, Drew Maag and Adam Boyer; siblings: Pat Keltgen of Olivia, MN, Bob Wiegman of Graceville, MN and Phyllis Bauer of Graceville, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Clem is preceded in death by his parents: Leo and Sophie; sister Jean Matthews; brother Del Wiegman; parents-in-law: Tony, Laura and Hazel Bauer; and brother-in-law Tom Bauer.
