She was united in marriage with Neil Pauli on May 23, 1987, in Milbank. They were blessed with three children: Willi, Nicole, and Alex. Cheryl worked several jobs in her early career but took a job as Administrative Assistant at St. William’s Care Center and held that position for more than 34 years. She was involved with the “It Only Takes A Spark Cancer Walk” for 22 years. Cheryl was an active member of the American Lutheran Church; serving as a volunteer and as a Sunday School teacher. She was very much looking forward to meeting her first grandchild due in five weeks.
Cheryl was a terrific baker and was famous for her cream cheese frosted cut-out cookies which were loved by everyone who tasted one. Her family was the highlight of her life. She loved spending “HallowThankMas” with them. Selecting family Halloween costumes and themes for the cancer walks were her specialty. Cheryl also enjoyed skiing and got to enjoy the activity with her children starting when they were very young.
