Memorial services for Mrs. (David) Cheryl Y. Hegge, age 60, of rural Big Stone City, SD, will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2005, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Ortonville, MN. The Reverend Shalom Kropfl will officiate. Candle bearers will be her two grandchildren, Jake and Hailey Quinn. Personal comments will be given by her son-in-law Jerry Quinn. Cheryl died on Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be at the Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home in Milbank on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. It was her wish that she be cremated. Burial of her cremains will be in Denver at a later time.
Cheryl was born on December 25, 1944, in Laramie, Wyoming, the daughter of Jim and Geraldine (Fallen) Orrell. She grew up in the Laramie-Denver area. Cheryl graduated from high school in Denver. Cheryl was united in marriage to David E. Hegge on December 19, 1969, in Denver. Following marriage the couple resided in Denver for five years. In 1973 they moved to rural Big Stone City when her husband David purchased Big Stone Lumber with his brother Roger Hegge Cheryl was a cook at the Northridge Residence for many years.
Cheryl like to cook and garden.
Survivors include her husband, rural Big Stone City, SD; one daughter Nicolette Quinn and husband Jerry, Parker, CO; two grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Orrell, Parker, CO; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death. The Emanuel-Patterson Funeral Home of Milbank is in charge of the arrangements.
