Carol Kleindl

Carol Kleindl, age 62 of Graceville died October 17, 2017, at her residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Graceville. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 4 - 8 p.m. and continue Friday morning, one hour prior to the Mass. A prayer vigil will be held at 4 p.m.

Carol Ann (Zach) was born on June 7, 1955, in Graceville, MN. She was the daughter of Fredrick John and Eleanor Frieda (Thomas) Zach. Carol was baptized on June 19, 1955, and confirmed on April 24, 1966, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She grew up in Graceville and graduated from Graceville High School with the Class of 1973. She was united in marriage with John (Jack) Michael Kleindl on May 18, 1974, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Carol and Jack were blessed with six children: Tammy, Theresa, John, Melissa, Sally, and Jacob. Carol was a devoted wife and mother. Along with caring for her family, she also had a daycare for 15 years. She worked at Grace Home and also at Lewis Drug.

Carol was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a member of the CCW. She enjoyed gardening, volunteering, making fleece blankets, and playing cards. Most important to Carol was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol treasured beginning each day with scripture readings and meditation. Her favorite prayer was the Chaplet - said for her family and those in need. She loved celebrating Jesus’s birthday, having a party with her family. She treasured summer vacations spent with her family at various resorts.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John (Jack) Kleindl of Graceville, MN; her children: Tammy (Todd) Hale of Wadena, MN; Theresa (Tom) Moore of Osakis, MN; John (Steph) Kleindl of Chokio, MN; Melissa (Cory) Kranz of Osakis, MN; Sally (Andy) Nelson of Fergus Falls, MN; and Jacob (Danielle) Kleindl of Aberdeen, SD; 15 grandchildren; siblings: Lois (Jim) Noon of Rush City, MN; Alice (Dave) Arens of Graceville, MN; Kathy (Bill) O’Donnell of Lake City, MN; Linda (Mark Paul) Zach of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Mary (Scott) Bauer of Graceville, MN; Kenny (Melody) Zach of Dickenson, ND; Colleen (Mike) Kleindl of Graceville, MN; Joyce (Jan) Hausmann of Alexandria, MN; Anita (Kelly) Hormann of Willmar, MN; Roxanne (Tom) Schwebach of Fennimore, WI; and Ron (Tracy) Zach of Eden Prairie, MN; sisters-in-law: Joan Nicholson of Colorado Springs, CO; and Corrine Zach of Morris, MN.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Eleanor; and brothers: Lance Nicholson and Charles Zach.

Carol's family suggests memorials be given to the Big Stone Cancer Support Group.
