Audrey Elaine (Linn) Binsfeld was born in Ortonville, MN, to Gerhard “Jerry” and Louise (Brown) Linn. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rosen, MN, where her faith was nurtured throughout her life. Audrey received her education at St. Joseph's Parochial School in Rosen, MN.

On September 24, 1955, Audrey was united in marriage with Elmer Binsfeld at St. Charles Catholic Church in Big Stone City, SD, affording her the joy of companionship and family. Together, they made their home in Colorado Springs, CO, before moving to Milbank, SD, for a short time. They ultimately purchased a cherished home near Big Stone City, SD. Audrey often said, “there’s no place like home.”

Professionally, Audrey worked as a bookkeeper at Finstad's Red Owl in Milbank for seven years. However, her greatest fulfillment came from being a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a woman of exquisite talents who relished in reading, sewing, completing crossword puzzles, and observing the wonders of nature through bird watching and feeding hummingbirds.

Audrey was a cherished member of the St. Charles Altar Society and Christian Mothers, remaining devoted to her community and her faith.

Left to cherish Audrey’s memory are her husband of 69 years, Elmer Binsfeld of Big Stone City, SD; daughter, Teri Binsfeld Whiting of Apple Valley, MN; son, John (Lori) Binsfeld of Big Stone City, SD; granddaughter, Desirae Whiting; great-grandson, Dakota Whiting; step-grandchildren: Sharon Kreatz, Christine Bemis, Callen Hoistad, and Thatcher Peterson; seven step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Binsfeld; along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Ronald Linn; sister, Marlene Linn; sisters-in-law: Rose Mary Bonn and Kathleen (Jerry) Boerger; and brothers-in-law, Richard Binsfeld and Darwin Bonn.
