Arloa “Oogie” Jean (Sigler) Ronglien was born on January 16, 1947, on her family farm in Clinton, MN, as one of 12 children born to Alvin and Fern (Schlimme) Sigler. Growing up in the Clinton, MN, area, Oogie embraced small-town life. She attended school in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School.

While in high school, Oogie babysat, was a waitress at Katie's Cafe. After graduation, she worked as a nanny in Minneapolis, MN. She came back to Clinton and worked at Morris Rod Weeder where, she was known as the best welder. Oogie then worked on I-29 between Wahpeton and Fargo, ND, where she would leave at 4:30 in the morning work 12-hour shifts on the road, come home, clean up, and work at the bar until it was locked up. She also spent many years working at the Cheese Factory in Big Stone City, SD.

On April 10, 1985, Oogie was united in marriage with Mark Ronglien at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ortonville.

Together, with her beloved husband, Mark, Oogie dedicated herself to their business, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to both her work and family.

Oogie was known for her spunky personality and was always one to take on an adventure. She loved road trips, whether it was in the truck or on the motorcycle. Many summer weekends were spent on poker runs where she was surrounded by both friends and family riders. When it was time to go and Oogie was missing, you always knew where to find her, she would be at the video lottery machines trying to win the “Big One”. She and Mark started snow birding, spending winters first in Texas, and finally finding their second home in Lake Havasu, AZ.

More than anything, Oogie treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. She was the glue that held everything together for the family. She never missed a sports game; everyone always knew she was there because she was the loudest cheerleader. Her cheering also included the Minnesota Vikings. Her beloved grandchildren were her pride and joy. There was nothing Oogie would not do for those she loved, and her legacy of big-heartedness will forever be remembered.
