Arlene Lindner

Arlene Lindner, age 77, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Fairway View Neighborhoods in Ortonville.

Private family services are to be held at a later date.

Arlene Lucille (Kanthak) Lindner was born on August 30, 1945, in Milbank, SD, to William and Cora (Nelson) Kanthak. She was baptized and confirmed at St. James Catholic Church in Nassau, MN. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Ortonville, MN. Arlene grew up on a farm outside of Nassau, MN, and graduated from high school in Marietta, MN, with the Class of 1964.

 After graduation, Arlene moved to Chaska, MN, where she worked for the Hennepin County Highway Division as a supervisor. Upon retirement, she moved to Ortonville, MN.

 As a talented seamstress, she often sewed her own clothing. Friends and family were blessed to have received beautiful Hardanger embroidery as gifts. Arlene enjoyed the company of her nieces and nephews.  In her later years, spending time with friends and playing bingo at the Casino or Moose Lodge are what she loved most.

Left to cherish Arlene’s memory are her siblings: Magdalen Kanthak of Minneapolis, MN; Theresa (Roger) Kanthak Redepenning of Minneapolis, MN; and Joseph (Virginia) Kanthak of Revillo, SD; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Anna May Korpal; brother-in-law, James Korpal; and nephews: Ronald Korpal, Paul Korpal, and Robert Kanthak.
