Alex D. Adolph

Twin Brooks, SD

 Alex D. Adolph, age 48, of rural Twin Brooks, SD, passed away at his residence on October 14, 2023, following a battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023,  at 10:30 a.m. at the Spirit of the Cat's Foundation (former Grant-Deuel School) in Revillo. Rev. Nathan Neugebauer will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Visitation will continue at the school on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

The urn bearers will be his children: Ethan and Alexa Adolph.

Alex Dean Adolph was born on February 21, 1975, in Clear Lake, SD. He was the son of Eugene and Darlene (Seidell) Adolph. Alex grew up in the Revillo area and graduated high school from Grant-Deuel School. He was united in marriage on June 18, 2005, with Teresa Schuelke in Madison, MN.

Alex and Teresa were blessed with two children: Ethan and Alexa. They lived in Albee, SD, before settling in rural Twin Brooks. Alex helped farm with Scott and Donna Johnson. He worked in the whey department for Valley Queen Cheese Factory for many years. Ill health forced his early retirement in December of 2022.

Alex was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being outdoors and nature as he farmed, ice fished, and pheasant hunted.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teresa of Twin Books, SD; his children: Ethan Adolph and Alexa Adolph, of Twin Brooks, SD; siblings: Adam Adolph of Clear Lake, SD; Eric (Angie) Adolph of Revillo, SD; and Gina (Gary) Lanoue of Clear Lake, SD; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Michael and Karen Schuelke of Madison, MN; sisters-in-law: Michelle (Dallas) Croatt of Madison, MN; and Jennifer Schuelke of Madison, MN; nieces and nephews:  Jessie Adolph, Jade Adolph, Jara Adolph, Taylor Adolph, Eli Lanoue, Dylan (Alyssa) Croatt, , Morgan (Garrett) Olson. Alex was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Darlene Adolph; his grandparents: Ed and Vicky Seidell, and Clarence and Jessie Adolph.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to “It Only Takes A Spark” Cancer Support.
