Agnes Shea, age 89, of Graceville, died on September 4, 2014, at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio, MN. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday. Father Joe Vandeberg will be celebrating the Mass. Casket bearers will be Henry Shea, Israel Zimbrick, Joshua Zimbrick, Montgomery Zimbrick, Jeremiah Kill, William Jipson, and Kathleen Jipson. Honorary bearers are all who called her "friend." Burial will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chokio.

Agnes Eleanor Shea was born on August 25, 1925, in Currie, MN, to George and Alvina (Suprenaut) Weinzetl. She attended country school through the 8th grade. On June 6, 1945, Agnes was united in marriage to Emery Shea at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Currie, MN by Father Davey. To this union, they were blessed with seven children. After their marriage they settled near Fulda, MN, then moved to Slayton, MN, and then back to Fulda. They moved to Elbow Lake, MN where they resided for seven years. In 1956, they moved to a farm north of Chokio for three years before moving south of Chokio. They finally settled southwest of Chokio in 1968, where they remained until 2004 when they moved into the Grandview Apartments in Morris, MN. In 2010, they moved to Grace Home in Graceville, MN.

Agnes enjoyed flowers, gardening, and canning. While living on the farm, she really liked taking care of the cats, dogs, and all of the farm animals. Agnes also enjoyed going to estate sales with Emery in search of dishes, dolls, and other treasures. Agnes was a compassionate woman and a caregiver. Her favorite times were the moments she spent with her family and friends.

Agnes died on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria, MN, having reached the age of 89.

Agnes is survived by her son Henry (Margarita) Shea of San Diego, CA; daughters: Mary (Steve) Shea-Kodluboy of St. Paul, MN; Patricia (Gary) Mahre of St. Paul, MN; Elizabeth (Richard) Ryan of St. Louis Park, MN; Joan Zimbrick of Lindstrom, MN; Cecilia (Lloyd) Kill of Morris, MN; and Ann Shea of Oxford, OH; grandchildren: Jeremiah Kill; Kathleen Jipson; William Jipson; Joseph (Emu) Ryan; Israel Zimbrick; Joshua (Heather) Zimbrick; Jason Zimbrick; Molly Zimbrick; Noel (Nicole) Dominguez; and Monique (Chris) Perkins; great-grandchildren: Tajara Kill; Trenity Kill; Talia Kill; Montgomery Zimbrick; Kaden Peterson; Levi Allen; and Gianna Perkins; brothers: Vincent Weinzetl of Redfield, SD; Lawrence Weinzetl of Fort Walton Beach, FL; sisters: Margaret Fonder of Sioux Falls, SD; Fidelis Shea of Benson, MN; Therese Dardis of Tea, SD; and Dolores Dardis of St. Joseph, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Agnes is preceded in death by her parents; husband Emery Shea in 2010; brothers: Gerald Weinzetl; John Weinzetl; and Walter Weinzetl; and nieces and nephews.
