Jerry Berge, age 52, of Rosen, MN, passed away on September 1, 2019, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. at American Lutheran Church in Milbank. Rev. Justin Neugebauer will officiate and burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Nassau, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday at Mundwiler Funeral Home from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. and continue on Monday at the church, one hour prior to the service. Music will be provided by Larry Tietjen. Casket bearers will be: Jerry Ruth, Roy Stolpman, Jeremy Johnson, Ryan Longhenry, Curt Longhenry, and Neal Thompson. Honorary bearers will be Lac Qui Parle County employees.
Jerry Lee Berge was born on April 27, 1967, in Watertown, SD. Jerry grew up in Nassau, MN. He graduated high school from Marrietta-Nassau with the Class of 1985. Jerry worked for Stolpman Sand and Gravel for 20 plus years, starting in Lac Qui Parle County as a truck driver. He was promoted to work crew foreman and most recently was the maintenance supervisor.
Jerry was a volunteer fireman for the Nassau Fire Department. He loved hunting, fishing, and being outside. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and grilling. He especially loved his family and grandchildren. He was an amazing guy – willing to do anything for someone else.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sue of Rosen, MN; sons: Brian (Kiley) Berge of Owatonna, MN; and Brandon Berge, and Aaron Berge of Waseca, MN; daughter, Rylie Berge of Rosen, MN; stepchildren: Justin Anderson of Ortonville, MN; Carissa (Erik) Olson of Wilmot, SD; grandchildren: Asher Berge, Nora Sletten, Liam Anderson, Maci Olson, Alesana Olson, Drayven Olson, and Harlan Olson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Leona and Norman Berge.
