July 5, 1933 ~ January 13, 2018 (age 84)

Glora Rohlfs, age 84 of Milbank, SD, died January 13, 2018, at her residence.

Services for Glora will be held on Friday, January 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 18th at Mundwiler Funeral Home from 5 - 7 p.m. and continue one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Glora Adele Johannsen Rohlfs was born on July 5, 1933, in Sisseton, SD, to George Johannsen and Anastasia (Ann) Kotzea and was raised in the Wilmot area. She attended area country schools and graduated from Wilmot High School in 1951.

Glora worked for several years in Spokane, WA, before becoming engaged to Harold Rohlfs. They were married in Coeur d'Alene, ID, in 1956, and returned to the Wilmot area to farm together. Glora and Harold had two daughters: Shelly and Lori. The family moved to the Milbank area in 1965, where they continued farming until they retired in 1994. The couple moved into Milbank where Harold, unfortunately, passed away from cancer the following year. Glora continued living in the same home until her passing on January 13, 2018.

Glora was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working on the farm and gardening. She was an excellent cook as she canned & preserved food for many years. She took great pride in her family and spent as much time with her siblings, children, and grandsons as possible. In her later years, she lunched with friends often and tracked down every bingo game within 40 miles.

Left to remember her fondly are her daughter: Shelly (Rudy) Rudolph of Niwot, CO, and their son, Daniel of Nashville, TN; two sisters: Linda (Frank) Hermans of Milbank, and Marlene (Wayne) Rickard of Cedar, MN; three brothers: Terry (Marlene) Johannsen of Wilmot, Dennis Johannsen of Coon Rapids, MN, and Lonnie Johannsen, also of Coon Rapids, MN; one sister-in-law, Dorene Mueller of Wilmot; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Harold; her daughter, Lori; her parents: George and Ann; her grandson, Jonathan; her sister, Sherrie; and her sister-in-law, Joanne Moore.
